Criteria’s public sample report, dated June 5, 2023, illustrates an overall raw score of 24 and an overall percentile of 50.

This page explains the structure of a CCAT score report without reproducing the proprietary report design, sample candidate identity, real Event ID, or complete position-range table.

The exact report shown to an employer can depend on platform configuration and job association.

Candidate and Event Information

The report can include:

  • candidate name;
  • position;
  • completion date;
  • Test Event ID;
  • assessment version information.

Treat these details as private.

Do not publish a report screenshot containing a real Event ID.

Overall Raw Score

The raw score is the number of correct answers out of 50.

The official public sample illustrates:

Raw score: 24

This means 24 questions were answered correctly.

It does not reveal:

  • the number attempted;
  • the final question reached;
  • percentage accuracy among attempts;
  • whether the employer considers the score sufficient.

Use the CCAT raw-score guide.

Overall Percentile

The current public sample illustrates:

Percentile: 50

Criteria explains this as performance better than 50% of the relevant norm group.

It does not mean:

  • 50% correct;
  • 25 correct answers;
  • automatic pass;
  • rank among applicants for one vacancy.

Twenty-four out of 50 equals 48% correct, showing that percentage correct and percentile differ.

Ability-Area Percentiles

The report can display separate percentiles for:

  • Verbal Ability;
  • Math and Logic;
  • Spatial Reasoning.

These category values should not be added or averaged to recreate the overall percentile.

Use the CCAT category-scores guide.

Distribution Graph

Criteria’s score-report guide describes a graph showing the standard distribution of raw scores.

Most results are grouped near the middle, with fewer results toward the high and low ends.

The candidate’s raw score appears on that scale.

Do not copy the proprietary graph into this article.

Do not use the graph to invent a complete raw-score-to-percentile conversion table.

Suggested Score Range

When a job association has been applied, the report can show a gray range associated with that position.

The report can indicate whether the raw score falls:

  • below the range;
  • within the range;
  • above the range.

This is position-related context.

It is not a universal passing score.

Example Interpretation: Raw 24, Percentile 50

Accurate interpretation:

The candidate answered 24 of 50 questions correctly. In Criteria’s current public sample report, that raw score corresponds to the 50th percentile. The employer may also review ability-area percentiles and position-associated score-range context.

Inaccurate interpretations:

  • The candidate scored 50% correct.
  • The candidate passed because the percentile is 50.
  • The candidate attempted only 24 questions.
  • Every future score of 24 must always equal the 50th percentile.
  • The candidate ranks 50th among applicants for this vacancy.

Below, Within, and Above Range

Below Range

The raw score falls below the displayed suggested range.

Do not automatically translate this into rejection.

Within Range

The raw score falls inside the displayed range.

Do not translate this into a guaranteed interview or offer.

Above Range

The raw score exceeds the displayed bounded range where applicable.

Do not assume every other selection requirement was met.

What the Public Sample Does Not Establish

The public PDF does not document every warning, integrity flag or configuration that may appear in a live employer account. Do not use this sample to claim that a particular warning is always present or absent. Follow the event instructions and contact the employer or Criteria support for a real result.

Candidate View vs. Employer View

The employer generally receives the official results.

The candidate may receive:

  • a complete report;
  • selected values;
  • a summary;
  • no numerical feedback.

Do not assume identical access.

How to Discuss the Report With a Recruiter

Use neutral questions:

Could you please confirm whether candidate assessment feedback is available?

Does the role use a position-associated suggested score range, or is the assessment considered with the overall application?

Do not demand confidential selection rules.

Protect the Report

Before sharing any report copy:

  • remove or cover the Event ID;
  • remove private employer information;
  • consider whether the candidate name and date should be visible;
  • do not include secure questions;
  • do not publish the report publicly without a clear reason.

Use the CCAT score-sharing guide.

Independent Practice Reports

An independent provider may display a similar summary with:

  • practice raw score;
  • topic accuracy;
  • timing;
  • provider percentile;
  • progress information.

This is not an official Criteria report.
