Criteria Event ID: Where to Find It and How to Use It
A Criteria Event ID is the private identifier connected to a candidate’s assessment event.
It can help the assessment center or official support locate the event after:
- a broken or incomplete link;
- a submission error;
- a frozen page;
- a lost session;
- uncertainty about completion status.
The Event ID is not:
- a score;
- a percentile;
- a password to share publicly;
- a general CCAT practice code;
- proof of passing;
- permission to create another event.
Do not send a real Event ID to CCATPracticeTest.com.

Current Event ID Guidance
Criteria currently describes two grouped Event ID patterns in its candidate FAQ: XXX-###-XXXX and XXX---*****. The ID may appear beneath the Testing Center URL, after confirming candidate details, or in an email sent from the event screen.
After an “Error submitting test” message, Criteria directs candidates back to the Assessment Center with the Event ID; the system may offer final submission or resumption. The ID does not override an expired deadline, reveal a score or authorize another attempt.
Current Event ID Formats
Criteria’s candidate FAQ currently describes formats such as:
XXX-###-XXXX
and:
XXX-****-****-*****
These are generic patterns.
Do not publish a real candidate identifier in an article, screenshot, forum post, or support request to an unrelated site.
Where to Find the Event ID
Criteria states that the Event ID can appear in several places.
In the Invitation Email
When the invitation is sent from Criteria’s no-reply address, the Event ID is located beneath the Testing Center URL near the bottom of the email.
At the Start of the Application
After opening the assessment-center link and confirming name and email, the Event ID can be displayed at the beginning of the application.
In an Email Sent to Yourself
The event screen may provide an option to email the Event ID to yourself.
Through Official Support
When the ID was not recorded, Criteria directs candidates to support through the assessment center. Its support form can allow the Event ID field to remain blank when unknown.
Record the ID Privately
Before starting:
- save the invitation email;
- copy the Event ID into a private note;
- keep the employer’s contact information;
- do not include the ID in a public screenshot;
- do not send it to a preparation website.
A private record is useful when the event is interrupted.
Event ID vs. Testing Center URL
The Testing Center URL opens the event.
The Event ID identifies the event.
Both can appear in the invitation.
Do not:
- paste the Event ID into an unrelated practice page;
- replace part of the URL with the ID;
- guess missing characters;
- use another candidate’s ID.
Follow the official assessment-center fields.
What If the Employer Link Still Requests an Event ID?
Criteria advises candidates to:
- review the original invitation;
- find the ID beneath the Testing Center URL where provided;
- copy the complete employer link again;
- paste the entire link into the browser;
- confirm that it was not separated or altered.
Missing or extra URL characters can cause a link-invalid error.
Using the Event ID After a Submission Error
Criteria’s candidate FAQ states that after an Error submitting test message, the candidate can return to the assessment center and enter the Event ID.
The system may then allow the candidate to:
- press the final submit button;
- or resume the assessment from where it stopped.
Follow the actual options displayed.
Do not assume that:
- the timer paused;
- every answer was saved;
- a retest is automatic;
- another account is needed.
Using the Event ID After a Frozen Page
Record:
- the time of the freeze;
- the error message;
- whether the timer remained visible;
- whether the page recovered;
- device and browser;
- connection status.
Then use the original event and official support route.
Do not open several duplicate sessions or repeatedly submit the form.
What If the Event ID Does Not Work?
Check:
- character accuracy;
- uppercase and lowercase where relevant;
- hyphens;
- whether the ID belongs to the correct event;
- whether the event expired;
- whether the complete Testing Center URL should be used instead.
When the issue continues, contact official Criteria support or the employer.
Do not generate random IDs.
What If the Event Is Expired?
An Event ID does not override an employer’s deadline.
Criteria’s candidate FAQ states that expired-event extensions must be requested from the employer.
Criteria support cannot grant an extension on the employer’s behalf.
What If You Receive You Cannot Restart This Event Again?
Criteria’s current candidate FAQ directs candidates with this message to Criteria support through the assessment center.
Do not:
- create another account;
- switch email addresses;
- start a public replacement event;
- use another candidate’s ID;
- attempt to bypass the restriction.
Does the Event ID Show the Score?
No.
The Event ID is a support identifier.
It does not encode a candidate-facing raw score, percentile, or pass/fail result.
Do not attempt to decode it.
Can Another Employer Use the Event ID?
No automatic score portability should be assumed.
Criteria states that results are confidential and are not shared with other companies.
The ID should not be given to another employer as a substitute for an official event or report.
Should the Event ID Be Included in a Score Screenshot?
No public screenshot should expose it.
Before sharing a report privately for a legitimate reason, cover or remove:
- Event ID;
- candidate-identifying information where unnecessary;
- private employer details.
Do not publish secure questions.
